Job summary

Worth Ross Management Company (WRMC) is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician for a luxury condominium community in Downtown Austin. You will support daily maintenance, ensuring safety and high standards across common areas and residential units.

The role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and offers hands-on duties with a focus on quality, reliability, and responsive resident service. On-site schedule runs 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, 5 days a week, with potential weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in residential facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs in common areas and residential units.
• Handle entry-level tasks including light plumbing, basic electrical work, painting, drywall patching, carpentry, and lock repairs.
• Assist with HVAC-related tasks such as filter replacement and basic inspections.
• Support move-ins and move-outs by preparing common areas and assisting with logistics.
• Escort vendors and contractors, operate freight elevators as needed, and conduct walkthroughs before and after work is completed.
• Assist with general building upkeep, porter duties, and package handling when needed.
• Serve as backup support to the Maintenance Supervisor when required.

Requirements

What You Need to Succeed

• Basic knowledge of general maintenance practices and use of common hand and power tools
• Ability to perform minor maintenance and repair tasks under the direction of the Engineering team
• Willingness to be on-call or respond to after-hours emergencies.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
• Reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
