  • Respond to, engage, and qualify outbound targets.
  • Make outbound calls to potential targets (150+ per day).
  • Keep CRM up to date with target information.
  • Assist with external and internal weekly reports.
  • Conduct research based on client strategies.
  • Develop account intelligence and relationship maps through outreach.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations and M&A teams.

Job description

SourceCo is seeking an ambitious and hardworking individual with a knowledge of finance to join our team as a Junior M&A Analyst and Sales Development Representative (SDR). In this hybrid role, you will collaborate with a team of experienced investment bankers and sales experts to generate transaction opportunities for our clients, primarily private equity firms, family offices, and corporations.

Your duties will include understanding a client's investment criteria, acquiring industry knowledge within a short timeframe, and engaging with potential targets via phone and email. This role is one of the first touchpoints for targets, offering hands-on experience with owners and senior executives looking to sell their companies while providing exposure to the deal-making process. You will have the opportunity to grow within the company and make direct contributions to its success.

SDR Responsibilities:
  • Analyzing client investment strategies to identify new opportunities.
  • Responding to, engaging, and qualifying outbound targets.
  • Cold-calling targets based on their engagement, over 150 calls per day required.
  • Keeping our CRM up to date with relevant information about targets.
  • Assisting with external and internal weekly reports.
  • Conducting research based on the client's strategy.
  • Researching methods to engage clients and get them to respond through our outreach.
  • Effectively partnering and working across the sales, operations, and M&A teams.
  • Collaborating closely with other teams to develop account intelligence, relationship maps, and use case opportunities through direct account engagement and insight tools.
Analyst Requirements:
  • Foundational finance and business knowledge.
  • US-based applicants only
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as being a productive team member, making outbound calls each day.
  • Having a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn and make new connections with prospects.
  • Ability to learn how specific companies and industries function.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relations.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The selected candidate would be a team player and a self-starter requiring minimal supervision.

Base Salary: $45,000-55,000, based on experience and qualifications

OTE (On-Target Earnings): $60,000-$75,000+
