Lumber List Express, a family-owned estimating company, seeks a Junior Lumber Estimator for its Mooresville, NC office. The role targets candidates with construction knowledge, plan interpretation, and willingness to learn commercial lumber estimating.

You will work with senior estimators on large wood-frame projects, performing lumber takeoffs, and using Excel and estimating software. Training is available, and compensation is based on experience and skills.

Qualifikationen

• Must read and interpret construction drawings/blueprints with accuracy.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn estimating processes and methods.
• Experience with lumber estimating or takeoffs is a plus.

• Read and interpret commercial construction drawings and plans.
• Perform lumber quantity takeoffs for large wood-frame projects.
• Review plans/specs to identify materials and quantities.
• Enter takeoff data in Excel and estimating software.
• Work with senior estimators and follow procedures.
• Identify changes affecting quantities and maintain project data.
• Communicate with team to clarify requirements.
