Job description

We are one of the fastest-growing private youth sports operators in the GTA and Florida. We delivery high-quality, structured sports programming across multiple locations, with a focus on fun, skills development, and exceptional customer experiences.

This is an entry-level role for someone who has foundational knowledge of email or digital marketing and wants to develop deep expertise in lifecycle campaigns, automation, and data-driven optimization. You will work side by side with the Director of Marketing, building real skills in platforms like Twilio and SendGrid while contributing to campaigns that directly impact customer acquisition and retention.

If you are analytical, curious, detail-oriented, and excited about how data and messaging come together to drive results — we want to meet you.

WHY JOIN US

We are a growing company in the sports industry, and our marketing team is at the core of our expansion. This role is an opportunity to go beyond sending emails — you will learn the strategy, the technology, and the data behind lifecycle marketing at a company that moves fast and values results.

Mentorship from experienced marketers and direct access to senior leadership. Hands-on work with enterprise platforms (Twilio, SendGrid) from day one. A culture that rewards curiosity, precision, and ownership. Flexible remote or hybrid work arrangement. A real growth path toward a full Lifecycle Marketing Specialist or Marketing Analyst role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Campaign Execution & Support Assist in building, scheduling, QAing, and launching email and SMS campaigns using Twilio and SendGrid under senior supervision. Help set up and QA automated lifecycle flows including onboarding sequences, re-engagement campaigns, retention triggers, and other lifecycle marketing initiatives. Support the management of audience lists, segmentation criteria, suppression files, and workflow documentation. Assist in preparing and formatting email templates in collaboration with the design team. Coordinate campaign timelines, internal deliverables, and marketing calendars to ensure campaigns launch on schedule. Maintain organized libraries of marketing assets, templates, and campaign documentation.
  • Testing & Performance Tracking Support A/B test setup and help document results for subject lines, CTAs, and content variants. Assist with campaign testing, tracking, and reporting across email and SMS channels. Compile and maintain performance reports tracking key metrics including open rates, click-through rates, conversions, engagement, and unsubscribes. Assist in identifying trends in campaign data and flagging opportunities for optimization and process improvements.
  • Compliance & Operations Help ensure all campaigns comply with applicable regulations including CASL, CAN-SPAM, and GDPR. Assist with list hygiene tasks including managing bounces, opt-outs, and suppression lists. Maintain documentation of campaign workflows, platform settings, operational processes, and process guides. Support ongoing improvements to marketing processes and operational workflows.
  • Collaboration Work closely with the Director of Marketing and senior team members to align on campaign priorities and goals. Coordinate with marketing, design, and content teams to ensure campaigns are executed accurately, assets are delivered on time, and messaging remains on brand. Participate in team meetings, contribute ideas, and ask questions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Up to 1–2 years of experience in email marketing, digital marketing, or related roles (internships and relevant coursework count). Basic familiarity with email marketing concepts: deliverability, segmentation, open rates, click-through rates. Comfortable working with data and digital tools; not afraid of dashboards or spreadsheets. Strong attention to detail: you notice what others miss and take quality seriously. Great written communication skills in English. Eagerness to learn marketing platforms and grow into a technical marketing role. Fluency in English (written and spoken). Spanish is a strong asset.

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Any hands-on experience with an email platform (Mailchimp, HubSpot, Klaviyo, SendGrid, or similar). Exposure to SMS marketing or basic understanding of how SMS campaigns work. Familiarity with A/B testing concepts. Basic HTML knowledge or willingness to learn email templating. Studies or coursework in marketing, communications, business, or related fields. Any experience in digital, tech, or startup environments.
