Job summary

Flagship Facility Services, Inc. is seeking a Life Science Technician I in Worcester, MA, to support biotech labs with inventory, safety compliance, and hands-on lab tasks.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and a customer-service mindset, with training provided. Responsibilities include stocking labware, assisting with ordering, maintaining equipment, and following COVID-19 safety guidelines; core hours are 7AM–6PM, with potential evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior service industry or lab experience a plus but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft ecosystem (Windows, Office365).
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Personal transportation required for multi-site work.
• Core hours 7AM–6PM, some evenings/weekends per ad-hoc needs.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring labware, consumables, supplies, and areas are stocked, cleaned, sterilized and maintained using appropriate equipment.
• Performing hazardous waste consolidation routines as needed.
• Supporting lab equipment maintenance routines as directed.
• Assisting with ordering and stock integrity through inventory management and receiving systems.
• Interacting with research staff and supporting in-scope service requests.
• Understanding lab workflows and balancing routine tasks with ad-hoc work.
• Documenting work processes, tracking metrics, and communicating results.
• Additional support tasks as necessary.
• Adhering to company and customer COVID-19 safety guidelines.
• This position has no direct reports.
