Baker McKenzie seeks an associate attorney for its Global Equity Services/Compensation practice in its San Francisco, Palo Alto, Los Angeles, Chicago, or New York office. Our Compensation Practice provides holistic, one-stop counsel on all aspects of share-based or other incentive programs, executive and director compensation arrangements, employee benefits, pensions and global mobility programs. We advise on tax and regulatory issues for compensation arrangements offered domestically in the United States and/or offered globally to employees, consultants or other types of service providers. Our practice is among the leading in the world, with over 40 practitioners in North America exclusively dedicated to our Compensation practice.
The ideal candidate will have one to three years of experience assisting clients in designing, implementing and maintaining global incentive and compensation arrangements (in particular share-based plans), drafting correspondence, memoranda, legal opinions, and other client-related documents, and advising on legal/regulatory/tax matters associated with global compensation arrangements in cross-border M&As, spin-offs, divestitures, IPOs and redomestications.
