Absolute Business Solutions Corp (ABSC) is seeking a Junior-Level Data Scientist with a Secret clearance to join our Northern Virginia team supporting DoD CDAO initiatives. You will design, implement, and validate data science solutions to accelerate data-driven decision making.

You will work with ML, data modeling, and visualization tools on terabyte-scale data, collaborating with engineers and analysts to deliver impactful analytics for federal missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree plus 1-3 years experience, or a Masters plus 1-3 years.
• Secret clearance required, TS/SCI possible in Northern Virginia.
• Experience in ML fields such as NLP, CV, and statistical learning theory.
• Experience building ML models and writing reproducible code (Python, R, Scala, Java, C++).
• Familiarity with terabyte-scale data, data visualization, SQL, and GPUs.

Responsibilities

• Designs, configures, develops, tests, and supports data science solutions.
• Applies analytics to diagnose data challenges and evaluate performance.
• Documents requirements, design choices, and findings for clients.
• Develop data modeling processes and understand cause-effect relationships.

Clearance Required for this role: Secret Clearance

Position Summary: ABSC is seeking an Junior-Level Data Scientist with a Secret clearance with the ability to achieve a TS/SCI in Northern Virginia. This position will support of DoD CDAO that is responsible for acceleration of the DoDs adoption of data, analytics, and AI to generate decision advantage from the boardroom to the battlefield.

• Designs, configures, develops, tests, and supports informatics and data science solutions for a wide array of technical use cases;
• Applies analytical methodologies to diagnose data-related challenges, implement solutions, and evaluate performance;
• Documents and presents requirements, design alternatives, and findings to team members and clients;
• Ability to develop strategic, baselined, data modeling processes; ability to accurately determine cause-and-effect relationships
• Experience with integrated development environments, data integration, data visualization, data mining, and analysis tools.

Experience Required for this Role:

• Experience with ML fields, e.g., natural language processing, computer vision, statistical learning theory;
• Experience in an ML engineer or data scientist role building ML models;
• Experience writing code in Python, R, Scala, Java, C++ with documentation for reproducibility;
• Experience handling terabyte size datasets, diving into data to discover hidden patterns, using data visualization tools, writing SQL, and working with GPUs to develop models; and
• Experience writing and speaking about technical concepts to business, technical, and lay audiences and giving data-driven presentations.

Education Required:

• Bachelors degree plus 1-3 years experience, or a Masters Degree plus 1-3 years of experience.
