American K9 Detective Services is seeking a Junior Handler responsible for screening cargo to ensure compliance with TSA rules. The role requires completing a 4–8 week training program and certification before mobilization to the assigned location.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain security clearances.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective oral and written communication required.
• Ability to adapt to changing environments.
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform field work.

Responsibilities

• Screen cargo for threats in line with TSA rules.
• Conduct duties related to X-Ray, physical search, and explosive trace detection.
• Perform Junior Handler duties with a trained working dog.
• Maintain training records and ensure canine care and maintenance.
• Ensure canine resides at employee residence under suitable climate-controlled conditions.
• Maintain all required certifications and security clearances.
• Possess and operate company vehicle during on-site training as needed.
• Work in varied environments, with nights, weekends, and holidays; travel may be required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
