Job summary

Federal Sherpa is seeking a JLCCTC Technician to support the Army Mission Command Training Program at Fort Leavenworth, KS. You will administer systems, support hardware and software, and ensure seamless simulation operations across distributed environments.

You will deploy and maintain WARSIM, JDLM, and FIRESIM, coordinate with training staff, and contribute to optimized exercise delivery. A DoD clearance is required and U.S. citizenship is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, CS, engineering, or related field.
• DoD 8140 qualifications with DCWF roles: Technical Support Specialist, System Administrator, Product Support Manager.
• 1 year of military training and training support experience.
• Experience integrating training environments and simulation of Army Mission Command IS.
• Experience installing software updates and performing system enhancements.
• Proficiency with JLCCTC apps (WARSIM, JDLM, FIRESIM) or similar tools.
• Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, VPNs).
• Familiarity with DoD config and patch management (DISA STIGs, SCAP).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication; able to instruct non-technical personnel

Responsibilities

• Manage servers, workstations, VMs, networks, and simulation software.
• Provide hardware, software, and basic networking troubleshooting.
• Install, configure, and update simulation applications and peripherals.
• Maintain hardware and software baselines; document changes.
• Deploy, test, and troubleshoot constructive simulations.
• Deliver classroom curricula and operator training.
• Validate simulation outputs and troubleshoot integration points.
• Support After Action Review tools with data capture and replay.
• Collaborate with planners and senior leaders to improve fidelity and usability.
