LexisNexis Risk Solutions in the United States is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of software components within a specific product area. You will work with experienced engineers to build technical expertise, apply best practices, and deliver high-quality software in a collaborative environment.

You will participate in a team that designs scalable backend services, write and review specifications, and learn modern development

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Basic knowledge of data manipulation languages.
Experience building REST APIs and solid experience with SQL.
Knowledge of data storage subsystems.
Hands-on experience working with Java 21, Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
Knowledge of test-driven development.
Ability and desire to learn new processes and technologies.
Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of simple complexity.
Under the guidance of senior-level engineers, successfully implement development processes, coding best practices and code reviews.
Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
Complete bug fixes and resolve basic technical issues as necessary.
Keep abreast of new technology developments.
