Job summary

Ajax Systems is seeking a Senior Java Developer to help design and expand the company’s backend ecosystem across embedded, cloud, and client applications. You will contribute to data pipelines, scalable services, and production-grade systems with a focus on performance and reliability.

You will work within a multi-disciplinary team employing Java, Kotlin, and modern architectures while collaborating with DevOps to ensure robust deployment, monitoring, and incident response.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend Java development in an enterprise setting.
• Knowledge of Kotlin and Java concurrency.
• Experience with SOA, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Cloud development with AWS experience.
• Hands-on Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Git, Gradle, Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core backend services and data pipelines.
• Develop services for the B2B product line.
• Participate in architecture design and documentation of decisions.
• Ensure test coverage with unit and integration tests.
• Maintain reliable monitoring, dashboards, and runbooks for production.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver features and improve systems.
