You’ll collaborate with senior engineers to design, build, and maintain risk-detection components for payments, focused on real-time processing, scalability, and reliability. A strong foundation in Java and OO design is essential, with openness to learning and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong Java foundation and OO programming.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Exposure to distributed systems or real-time processing is a plus.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, SQL, and Git.
• Strong communication and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Work on real-time systems that identify potentially fraudulent activity and enforce risk policies.
• Help improve the scalability, reliability, and observability of risk-related microservices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team discussions around architecture and design.
• Assist in writing and maintaining automated tests to ensure high system reliability.
• Continuously learn and grow within a fast-paced, supportive engineering environment.

What We’re Looking For

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• (Master’s in CS preferred)
• Strong foundation in Java and object-oriented programming.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Exposure to or interest in distributed systems, real-time processing, or fraud detection is a plus.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, SQL, and development tools like Git.
• Strong communication skills and an eagerness to learn from and contribute to the team.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Spring Boot, message queues (e.g., Kafka), or cloud services (e.g., AWS).
• Familiarity with basic data analytics or rules engines for risk assessment.
