Job summary

Davidson Technologies in Colorado Springs seeks a Jr. Modeling IR Plume Systems Engineer to develop high-fidelity threat missile data for various M&S tools. You will work on IR phenomenology, ensure accurate missile data production, and coordinate with engineers to meet critical delivery schedules.

The role requires a STEM degree with experience in M&S data analysis, scripting skills (Python/MATLAB/Bash), and strong communication. A DoD security clearance is preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field plus 2 years of related experience; or Master's degree with 0 years experience.
• Experience with technical analysis of M&S data sets.
• Experience with Verification and Validation of M&S data.
• Ability to work independently and in a team within deadlines; strong written and oral communication.
• Experience with scripting/automation languages such as Python, Bash, or MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience with threat model phenomenology focusing on Infrared (IR) signatures.
• Research IR signature predictions and simulation models.
• Collaborate to meet data production needs for MDA Ground Test Modeling and Simulation.
• Coordinate with TSE engineers on software requirements for threat modeling tools.
• Ensure quality production of threat missile data aligned with stakeholder requirements.
