Job summary

JL Ramirez Interiors is seeking a Junior Interior Designer to support senior staff through all project phases from concept to construction documents in New York. The role requires a solid foundation in interior architecture, design, 3D modeling, rendering, drafting, space planning, and custom furniture design.

The candidate will help manage budgets and schedules, prepare design presentations and drawings in AutoCAD, Rhino, and Revit, and source fabrics and materials.

Qualifications

• Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
• 1–2 years of interior design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD including architectural detailing and custom furniture design.
• Proficiency in Rhino.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Studio Designer is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain project budgets and schedules.
• Generate and issue proposals and purchase orders.
• Track and coordinate the delivery of orders.
• Assist in preparing design presentations for client meetings.
• Prepare furniture plans and interior elevations using AutoCAD.
• Prepare computer renderings for presentations and design studies.
• Record accurate meeting minutes and action items.
• Research and source fabrics, finishes, furniture, lighting, fixtures, and other materials.
