Job summary

Core & Main is seeking an Estimator – Critical Infrastructure Group to support quantity takeoffs and bid packages under supervision. You will learn plan interpretation, material identification, and basic takeoff procedures while collaborating with the Pre‑Bid and Sales teams.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years in construction or related fields, are detail-oriented, and eager to grow estimating skills through on‑the‑job training and formal development opportunities at Core & Main.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in construction or related fields.
• Exposure to reading blueprints or construction documents preferred.
• Associate degree or technical certificate is preferred; coursework in construction-related fields beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications to identify basic material requirements and perform entry-level quantity takeoffs with supervision.
• Assist in preparing scopes and bid packages and collaborate with the Pre‑Bid team to gather details.
• Participate in training to build proficiency in takeoff software and plan reading.
