Job summary

Hetzner Cloud GmbH is seeking a (Junior) Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/x) with a passion for Ceph and object storage. The role involves engaging with the Ceph community, contributing back to open source, and helping maintain and scale large Ceph deployments.

You will participate in on-call rotations and may work remotely within Germany while collaborating closely with our Munich office team. The annual gross salary ranges from €68,000 to €86,500 depending on experience and scope.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic about Ceph and object storage.
• Active or willing to contribute to Ceph open source projects.
• Comfort with low-level troubleshooting and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Engage with the Ceph community and contribute to Ceph and the Rados Gateway.
• Work with the Ceph issue tracker to resolve issues and improve our setup.
• Build tooling for maintenance and debugging.
• Troubleshoot bugs and work hands-on with the cluster hardware.
