Job summary

N26 Inc. is seeking a Junior Associate for ICT GRC to help execute IT risk management, audits, and compliance activities in a fast-paced digital banking environment.

You will coordinate audit readiness, perform IT control tests, and draft risk reports while collaborating with risk and compliance professionals. English fluency is required; German is a plus. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT/security and 1–2 years in the field are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in information security, IT risk management, IT audit, or compliance, ideally within banking or financial services.
• Foundational understanding of regulatory frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, DORA, GDPR) and enterprise IT concepts.
• Interest in cybersecurity, IT risk, IT compliance, and IT governance in digital banking.
• Professional certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate audit preparations by gathering evidence, requests, and audit logs.
• Execute IT control tests to evaluate internal controls and identify improvements.
• Draft and maintain risk reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
• Review risk assessments on tools and processes and ensure documentation is evaluated.
• Manage risk and gap items in GRC systems and drive remediation with stakeholders.
• Facilitate meetings, document decisions, and maintain shared documentation.
