AECOM is seeking an Entry Level Hydrogeologist to join our Long Beach team to support soil and groundwater investigations and remediation projects. The role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and contributing to field and office tasks across challenging assignments.

The position begins with entry-level responsibilities and offers opportunities to grow in environmental remediation, data analysis, and report preparation while working in a hybrid schedule in California.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Hydrogeology or Geology.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
• Pass a Motor Vehicle Records review and a substance abuse test as a condition of employment.

Aufgaben

• Complete field tasks, including site investigations, drilling oversight, soil and groundwater sample collection, remediation system data collection, and related work.
• Provide office support for data management, report preparation, and maintain the required AECOM-related documentation and forms.
• Conduct environmental field work: soil logging, soil and groundwater sampling, fluid level gauging, oversight of field surveys, soil borings and well installation, well development and rehabilitation operations, utility clearance for intrusive operations, and aquifer testing.
• Prepare field documents and process, interpret, and analyze field data.
• Support office tasks such as data analysis and report preparation.
• Utilize basic scientific principles and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems in collaboration with senior technical staff.
• Collect and enter data, apply technical principles, interpret and record findings, conduct analyses, and compare results to local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
• Travel to project locations, including driving and overnight stays.
