As you assist senior estimators, you will use estimation software, perform quantity takeoffs, verify quantities, and help compile proposals for clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; degree is a plus.
• Experience in construction cost estimation is a plus but not required.
• Ability to interpret plans and drawings.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Attention to detail and organized filing.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior estimators in analyzing project plans, specs, and drawings.
• Generate detailed estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management.
• Research costs, industry trends, and update inputs.
• Analyze historical data to inform estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Verify quantities against project documents.
• Assist in developing cost breakdowns for proposals.
• Maintain organized estimate files.
• Prepare explanations for clients and internal stakeholders.
