Job summary

Qualifications

• BS Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited University is required.
• 0 to 3 years of experience in the design of transportation projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• EIT Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design roadway, drainage, and traffic improvements for highway-related projects.
• Perform engineering calculations, quantity calculations, cost estimates, and CADD design/drafting.
• Work collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and clients to ensure all aspects of the design are consistent.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates for contract bidding.
• Become well-versed with PennDOT Design Manuals and Standards.
• Perform field views and participate in meetings.
