Job summary

East Marshall CSD is seeking a motivated JH Track Coach for the 2026–27 school year, starting immediately. Compensation follows the Extracurricular Salary Schedule.

This part-time role focuses on building fundamentals, strategy, and athlete development within a junior high setting. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of junior high coaching essentials, and the ability to obtain Iowa Coaching Authorization.

Qualifications

• Current East Marshall CSD employee or qualified external applicant.
• Knowledge of fundamentals, strategy, and skill development at the junior high school level.
• Ability to obtain Iowa Coaching Authorization, if not currently held.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct organized, skill-focused practices for JH student-athletes.
• Develop and implement a meet-day strategy appropriate for the JH level.
• Ensure a safe, positive, and competitive environment for all participants.
• Communicate regularly with building administration and the Activities Director.
• Monitor academic eligibility and student conduct in accordance with district and IHSAA/IGHSAU guidelines.
• Represent East Marshall CSD with professionalism at all contests and events.
• Other duties as assigned by the Activities Director or building administration.
