Job summary

Grandview Independent School District in Grandview, Texas seeks a Jr High Special Education Teacher Aide to support inclusion classrooms and assist students with disabilities under the supervision of certificated teachers.

You will help implement IEP goals, assist with self-help and behavior management, transport students when needed, monitor safety, and communicate with families and staff while preserving confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; associate’s degree or two years of college preferred.
• Texas educational aide certificate required.
• Demonstrates ability to work with children with disabilities and follow instructions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Help meet the individual needs of students, including assisting with mobility and personal care.
• Assist with behavior management and translating instructions into practice.
• Support instructional activities and motor skill development under teacher supervision.
• Provide supervision in lunchroom, bus, and playground as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and participate in professional development and meetings.
