Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate required.
• Ability to assist in reading, writing, and mathematics instruction.
• Strong communication and teamwork with teachers and students.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one instruction or small group support under the direction of a certified teacher.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of tests and assignments.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom and manage equipment.
• Keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
• Orient and assist substitute teachers as needed.
• Supervise students during the day including lunchroom, bus, and playground duties.
• Notify teachers of special needs or problems of individual students.
• Participate in staff development and faculty activities as assigned.
