Job summary

Bishop O'Gorman Catholic Schools is seeking a Junior High Custodian to maintain a safe, clean space where students can thrive at O'Gorman Junior High in Sioux Falls. The role supports daily cleaning, minor repairs, and event setup while upholding the school’s faith-based values.

The position starts at $17.20 per hour with potential increases based on relevant experience, and requires evening hours during the school year with daytime summer shifts.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission of Bishop O'Gorman Catholic Schools
• Keep buildings and grounds in a clean and sanitary condition, including daily pickup of trash and debris
• Daily – clean and/or mop floors, disinfect bathrooms and drinking fountains, assist with minor repairs, clean windows and vacuum
• General maintenance of building
• Dust tops of lockers
• Clean snow from sidewalks, driveways and other areas on school grounds
• Set up and take down equipment/chairs and tables, etc. for all events at/related to the school
• When applicable, open and lock the school buildings
• Promote a positive public image to students, staff and community through cooperation and attitude
• Preventative maintenance – waxing, sealing, patching, painting, etc.
• Perform various duties as assigned

Evening shift (1:30PM-10:00PM ) during the school year and have daytime hours in summer!

Starting rate is $17.20/hr without experience and can increase based on relevant experience.
