Job summary

Bishop O'Gorman Catholic Schools in Sioux Falls, SD, is seeking a dedicated Junior High Custodian/Janitor to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.

The role focuses on daily cleaning, basic maintenance, snow removal, setup for events and open/close procedures as needed, with an evening shift from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM during the school year and daytime hours in summer.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission of Bishop O'Gorman Catholic Schools
• Keep buildings and grounds in a clean and sanitary condition, including daily pickup of trash and debris
• Daily – clean and/or mop floors, disinfect bathrooms and drinking fountains, assist with minor repairs, clean windows and vacuum
• General maintenance of building
• Dust tops of lockers
• Clean snow from sidewalks, driveways and other areas on school grounds
• Set up and take down equipment/chairs and tables, etc. for all events at/related to the school
• When applicable, open and lock the school buildings
• Promote a positive public image to students, staff and community through cooperation and attitude
• Preventative maintenance – waxing, sealing, patching, painting, etc.
• Perform various duties as assigned
