Job description
Miami Jr/Sr High School is currently seeking qualified candidates to lead our 7th & 8th Grade Boys' Basketball programs. Applicants must meet all District HR requirements and obtain clearance through the school's Athletic Department.
Required certifications or the ability to obtain them prior to employment include:
- CPR/First Aid/AED Certification
- NFHS Course Certificate: Bullying, Hazing and Inappropriate Behaviors
- NFHS Course Certificate: Concussion in Sports
- NFHS Course Certificate: First Aid, Health and Safety
- NFHS Course Certificate: Fundamentals of Coaching
- Additional sport-specific course certifications as required
Responsibilities include instructing and working with athletes to prepare them for competition, assisting athletes in improving their individual and team performance, and possessing expert knowledge of basketball rules, strategies, techniques, equipment, physical fitness, and safety.
Develop game plans and strategies tailored to athlete talents, and prepare players mentally for competition.
Applicants should demonstrate strong coaching skills and a commitment to athlete development.
