Katy Independent School District (Katy ISD) is seeking an Assistant Principal for Stockdick Junior High. The role reports to the Principal and requires strong instructional leadership to coordinate school programs and staff development.

The position is Exempt and a Master’s degree with a Mid-Management certificate is required. The successful candidate will work closely with the Principal to implement district goals, manage discipline, and foster a positive campus climate while ensuring

Qualifications

Master’s degree and a Principal/Mid-Management Certificate are required.
Minimum of five years of successful classroom teaching experience or equivalent (e.g., Instructional Coach).
Demonstrated ability as an instructional leader and proven leadership skills.
Certified teacher appraiser or T-TESS AEL certification or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

Assist the Principal with overall program planning, supervision, and evaluation for the assigned school.
Maintain accurate records of programs and projects and submit reports as required by policy and law.
Interact with students to promote positive attitudes toward school programs.
Assist faculty and staff in identifying and solving instruction-related problems.
Utilize district resources to improve the instructional program and support staff development.
Conduct instructional observations and provide diagnostic feedback for growth and performance.
