Job summary

North Ogden Jr High in Utah is seeking an Assistant Coach. This position is for miscellaneous hours and pays per athletic season, with at-will employment. Eligibility includes background checks and possible priority for certified district employees or those with State Athletic Certification.

Applicants should be at least 21, able to work with students and the community, and bring a positive, collaborative approach. Varsity/collegiate experience is preferred and regular attendance is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work with students, community and peers and promote a positive manner in bringing all these groups together.
• Secondary coaching experience is desired.
• Ability to motivate and inspire kids to be academic athletes and to teach them fundamental skills.
• All conditions being equal, a certified employee of the District or an individual who has passed the State Athletic Certification program will be given priority.
• Individuals must complete a background check prior to starting to coach. Varsity or collegiatelevel experience preferred.
• Physical Demands: Specifics: Lifting, bending, reaching, squatting, pushing, pulling etc.
• Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
