Job summary

Cim is seeking a Junior Proposal Consultant in Chantilly, VA. You will work in a dynamic consulting environment supporting Government Contractors. The role reports to the Senior VP of Capture & Proposals and requires teamwork with client personnel and consultants to develop winning proposals.

You will read government documents, create storyboards and templates, coordinate meetings, and manage Q&A, status meetings, and production tasks. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or comparable experience.
• 2–3 years of professional experience in proposal development.
• Knowledge of government contracting, Federal acquisition lifecycle, and Shipley method.
• Proficient in technical writing and editing with strong grammar and syntax.
• Adept at proposal layout and document formatting.
• Experience with MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with SharePoint or other collaboration tools.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Highly organized with great attention to detail.
• Strong multi-tasking and time management to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand government documents, client proposals, and related materials.
• Help create proposal documents such as storyboards, outlines, response templates, and compliance matrices.
• Coordinate dates, times, locations, and attendees for meetings.
• Help develop meeting agendas and presentations.
• Collect and proofread requests for clarification (Q&A).
• Send, receive, and consolidate data requests to clients.
• Attend proposal status meetings and record meeting minutes.
• Monitor for amendments, Q&A, or other updates to solicitations.
• Attend strategy sessions, win theme development, and color reviews.
• Identify content from prior proposals and perform copy editing.
• Facilitate development and revision of proposal graphics.
• Perform document formatting and desktop publishing.
• Assist with proposal printing and production.
