Job summary

ENcompass Consulting Group is seeking a Junior Proposal Consultant to support government-contract proposals. You will work with client personnel and consultants to craft compelling responses and ensure compliance.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong writing/editing, and attention to detail in a primarily virtual setting with occasional on-site work near Chantilly, VA. Travel may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or comparable experience.
• 2–3 years of professional experience in proposal development.
• Fundamental knowledge of the government contracting lifecycle and Shipley method.
• Proficiency in technical writing and editing, with strong grammar.
• Adept at proposal layout and document formatting.
• Proficient with MS Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat; SharePoint familiarity.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and detail orientation.
• Ability to collaborate in teams and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand government documents, client proposals, and related materials.
• Help create proposal documents such as storyboards, outlines, templates, and compliance matrices.
• Coordinate meeting logistics (dates, times, locations, attendees).
• Develop meeting agendas and presentations for proposal discussions.
• Collect and proofread requests for clarification (Q&A).
• Send, receive, and consolidate data requests to clients.
