Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a junior Geologist or Environmental Scientist to support environmental projects in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role emphasizes brownfield redevelopment work, technical writing, and collaboration with federal, state, and commercial clients.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in environmental consulting, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or in a team. This is a full-time, on-site position with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of environmental consulting or related experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Motivated, customer focused and able to work in a team.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive regularly.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental investigations in field and office settings, including soil, groundwater, and soil gas sampling.
• Conduct Phase I and Phase II environmental assessments.
• Assist with UST closure investigations and remediation activities.
• Log and classify soil cores; oversee field subcontractors and drilling operations.
• Prepare technical reports with clear data interpretation and visuals.
