Job summary

Tetra Tech seeks an early career Geologist or Environmental Scientist in Cincinnati, OH, to support brownfield redevelopment and environmental projects across the Midwest. The role emphasizes field sampling, technical reporting, and collaboration with clients and subcontractors.

Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years of environmental consulting experience, strong communication skills, and a valid driver’s license. Travel to project sites will be required.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of environmental consulting or other relevant experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Highly motivated, customer focused, and able to work in a team.
• This position requires driving on a regular basis with a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Completing field data collection activities, including soil, groundwater, and soil gas sampling.
• Conducting Phase I and Phase II environmental assessments.
• Conducting UST closure and corrective action investigations.
• Logging and USCS classification of collected soil cores.
• Field oversight and management of subcontractors during geophysical surveys; drilling and installation of soil borings and monitoring wells.
• Conducting asbestos surveys and lead-based paint inspections.
• Performing asbestos and lead paint abatement oversight activities.
• Support in preparation of technical reports, including data tabulation and presentation.
• Communication with vendors, clients, and subcontractors.
