Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a talented Junior full-stack Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will contribute across the full software development life cycle—from component/page design to back-end architecture, implementation, and verification testing—supporting mission-critical applications and products. You will help deliver scalable, secure, and elegant solutions in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Note: This is an in-office position and does not allow for remote work. The role involves hands-on work and requires full, end-to-end software/hardware testing.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Build and maintain scalable front-end interfaces and back-end services.
• Optimize performance for UI responsiveness and data processing workflows.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments using Docker.
• Conduct peer code reviews and ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, system architects, program managers, and stakeholders.
• Apply Agile/SAFe methodologies and maintain clear documentation.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or 4 years of additional experience).
• 3+ years of software development experience in front-end or back-end technologies.
• Strong programming skills in ReactJS, Java, JavaScript, C++, and SQL.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Expertise in containerized application development, preferably with Docker.
• Proficiency with RESTful API design, data visualization, database architecture (SQL/NoSQL), and version control (Git).
• Experience with front-end frameworks and responsive design.
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills for distributed systems.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience with message brokers like AMQ, ZMQ, or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or other SQL databases.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Artifactory.
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, encryption, and secure coding.
• Strong communication skills for conveying technical concepts.
• Ability to work within extremely time-sensitive deadlines.

Salary Range: $72,900 - $127,600
