Job summary

Cadmus seeks a Junior Full Stack Developer to support an agile team delivering dashboards for a federal health care organization. You’ll contribute to frontend and backend features using Angular, React, Python, and cloud services.

With 1–2 years of experience, you will collaborate with DevOps, design APIs, deploy on AWS, and participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement. A BS in CS or related field is expected and a proactive, self-starter mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 1–2 years of experience in full-stack web development, with hands‑on experience building and maintaining web applications using modern frontend and backend technologies
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and test‑driven development (TDD)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins CJE) and DevOps practices
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
• Agile‑oriented approach to engineering and operations, including the ability to work effectively in a flat organization and navigate ambiguity
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences
• Must be a self‑starter with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects and initiatives
• Ability to independently research, evaluate, and recommend solutions for continuous improvement, including new frameworks and infrastructure requirements
• Comfortable stepping outside your comfort zone to evaluate, test, and implement new technologies and frameworks
• Passion for building scalable, highly available software solutions, with a proactive approach to automation, issue detection, and problem resolution
• Embraces a continuous improvement mindset: fail fast, learn fast, and improve fast

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior developers, product owners, and DevOps engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications on cloud infrastructure
• Develop responsive and interactive user interfaces using Angular and React
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python
• Design, implement, and integrate REST APIs with frontend applications and third-party services
• Deploy, configure, and maintain applications on AWS cloud services
• Configure and manage Nginx as a web server and reverse proxy or has experience with similar technologies like Tomcat, Apache
• Work in Linux environments for application deployment, troubleshooting, and automation
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following coding standards
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing, and performance optimization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Troubleshoot production issues and assist in maintaining application availability
