Job summary

Cadmus in Hartford, CT is seeking a Junior Full Stack Developer to support an agile team delivering dashboards for a federal health care client. You will contribute to frontend interfaces using Angular and React, build Python backend services, and help deploy on AWS while participating in code reviews and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 1–2 years of experience in full-stack web development with modern frontend and backend technologies
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and TDD
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and DevOps practices
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
• Agile‑oriented engineering & operations, able to work in a flat organization
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Self-starter who can work independently and take ownership
• Ability to research and adopt new frameworks and infrastructure
• Willingness to explore new technologies and frameworks
• Passion for scalable, highly available software and proactive automation

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior developers, product owners, and DevOps to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications on cloud infrastructure
• Develop responsive and interactive user interfaces using Angular and React
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python
• Design, implement, and integrate REST APIs with frontend apps and third-party services
• Deploy, configure, and maintain applications on AWS cloud services
• Configure and manage Nginx or similar web servers and proxies
• Work in Linux environments for deployment, troubleshooting, and automation
• Write clean, maintainable code following standards
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing, and performance optimization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Troubleshoot production issues and help maintain availability
