Job summary

WebCreek is seeking a Junior Full Stack Developer to build and support modern enterprise apps using React and NestJS. You will work across frontend and backend with emphasis on backend architecture, data processing, security, and reliability.

You’ll work with MongoDB, Redis, OIDC-based security, queues, and deployment tools to deliver scalable solutions for complex business needs. Houston on-site role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience building full stack applications with React and NestJS.
• Strong backend development skills with APIs, services, and data processing.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Redis or similar caching technologies.
• Experience with authentication and authorization concepts, including OpenID Connect (OIDC).
• Experience with queueing systems, asynchronous processing, or event-driven backends.
• Experience deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting applications in production.
• Ability to take ownership, propose solutions, and follow through without constant direction.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in technical discussions.
• Proactive mindset with willingness to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using React and NestJS.
• Build backend services, APIs, and application logic that support data processing and computing workloads.
• Work with MongoDB, Redis, OIDC-based security, and queueing systems as part of the application architecture.
• Participate in technical discussions and help define practical solutions with the development team.
• Troubleshoot production issues and support applications across frontend, backend, database, and deployment layers.
• Take ownership of assigned features and issues from development through production support.
• Collaborate with technical leads, developers, and business stakeholders to turn requirements into reliable technical solutions.
• Contribute to system quality, performance, scalability, maintainability, and operational reliability.
