Job summary

You will work on well-defined feature tickets, implement UI components with React.js and TypeScript, and develop backend endpoints using Python/FastAPI, gaining mentorship from senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience through a coding bootcamp, self-directed learning, or demonstrated personal projects.
• 0–3 years of professional or internship software engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript, with the ability to read and contribute to code in both languages.
• Basic familiarity with React.js, including components, props, and state.
• Understanding of REST APIs, including how to consume APIs and basic principles of API design.
• Experience with Git, including branching, committing, creating pull requests, and resolving merge conflicts.
• Ability to write basic SQL queries and understand relational database concepts.

Responsibilities

• Implement well-scoped features across the frontend and backend stack.
• Build user interface components using React.js and TypeScript, following established design systems and component library conventions.
• Develop backend functionality and REST API endpoints using Python/FastAPI, with guidance from senior engineers.
• Connect frontend and backend services and develop an understanding of application architecture and data flow.
• Follow established coding patterns, style guides, development standards, and best practices.
• Write unit tests and participate in code reviews, both receiving feedback and reviewing others' contributions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.
