Job summary

SkillStorm offers a 12‑week paid training program designed to launch software careers. Trainees work on real team projects and deploy to Fortune 100 clients or government agencies from day one.

Participants come from diverse backgrounds, including recent graduates and career changers with a technical foundation, and veterans transitioning to tech roles. Training is followed by placement with client teams, supported by ongoing mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or similar.
• At least one year of W2 experience in a technical role.
• Equivalent technical experience will be reviewed individually.
• Fundamentals of programming: data structures, algorithms, databases and SQL.
• Proficiency in an object-oriented language such as Java or C#.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance applications for client environments.
• Write clean, well-structured code to professional standards.
• Diagnose and fix defects; provide technical support and resolution.
• Participate in code reviews and give/receive feedback.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications with stakeholders.
• Support testing and deployment to production; maintain documentation.
• Keep current with industry tools and techniques through ongoing training.
