Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an entry level Financial Analyst to join the Finance Team in the Distribution Segment. The role supports monthly closings, cost analysis and forecasting, helping drive reliable financial reporting and budgeting processes.

The candidate should be capable of independent work, yet collaborate effectively with colleagues to deliver accurate analyses. This position offers exposure to Alteryx, Excel and ERP systems, with growth opportunities within a global packaging leader

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Basic experience with financial analysis and reconciliation processes.
• Solid interpersonal skills with desire and ability to work in a team/collaborative environment.
• Working knowledge of Alteryx and proficiency in Excel, Teams, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office products.
• Good organizational, problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
• Experience in JD Edwards and Hyperion a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly financial closing activities including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Perform monthly cost and variance analysis.
• Complete assigned financial reporting needs.
• Provide support for monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes.
• Support activities related to internal and external audit requirements.
• Perform ad hoc analysis, reporting and project support as needed.
