Job summary

CertaSite is seeking an entry-level fire sprinkler service apprentice life safety technician in Kent, Ohio. You will perform inspection, testing, service and repairs of sprinkler systems following NFPA 25, while documenting activities and maintaining safety procedures.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, on-site evaluations, and maintaining equipment and vehicles. The role may require some nights or weekends and frequent travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of fire sprinkler or plumbing systems.
• Ability to calculate fractions, decimals and percentages.
• Knowledge of basic computer functions and common software.
• Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection and testing of fire sprinkler systems per NFPA 25 frequencies.
• Troubleshoot and service fire sprinkler systems and related components.
• Document inspections, repairs, and recommendations electronically or on paper.
• Maintain a clean, stocked vehicle and ensure safety equipment is ready.
• Evaluate customer site for additional equipment or services and communicate needs.
