Job summary

Coffman Engineers is seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Fire Protection Engineer to join our team of professionals! You would support our Fire Protection Department in providing clients with automatic suppression system design, fire detection, alarm and mass notification system design, code analysis and life safety concepts.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Fire Protection-specific degree required) and EIT is preferred; experience with AutoCAD or Revit is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in engineering from accredited college or university
• Fire Protection specific degree is required
• EIT certification is preferred

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day contacts with internal and external clients while utilizing experience and technology to meet expectations
• Performing research and documenting for internal and external distribution
• Analysis of existing fire protection systems; design new fire protection systems including suppression systems, fire detection, fire alarm and mass notification systems
• Building and fire code analysis and interpretation
