Job summary

Coffman Engineers Inc. is seeking an entry-level Fire Protection Engineer to join our Maryland team. You will support our Fire Protection Department with designs for suppression, detection, alarm, mass notification, code analyses, and life-safety concepts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering from accredited college or university; Fire Protection specific degree is required.
Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) (preferred)
Experience with the current version of AutoCAD and Revit (preferred)
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Computers: email, word processing, spreadsheets, simple graphics, and CAD knowledge.
Managing day-to-day contacts with internal and external clients to meet expectations.
Performing research and documenting for internal and external distribution.
Analysis of existing fire protection systems; design new fire protection systems including suppression, detection, alarm and mass notification systems.
Building and fire code analysis and interpretation
