Job summary

City National Bank of Florida is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to support routine financial reporting and analyses. You will collect, review, and organize data, identify trends, and assist in developing internal reports and dashboards to present financial information clearly.

You will apply problem-solving skills to large data sets, learn BI tools (Tagetik, OneSumX, Prologue, Qlik), and collaborate across departments while ensuring accuracy under supervision.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related work is helpful; internship may be considered.
• Experience applying problem-solving skills through statistical analysis or working with large data sets is highly preferable.
• Ability to learn and use BI tools to collect, evaluate, and analyze management information.
• Familiarity with Wolters Kluwer ERP systems such as CCH Tagetik.
• Experience using Python, SQL, or comparable tools to support data querying, validation, and financial analysis preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply independent judgment and discretion when reviewing financial data.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IFs, SUMIFs); Word and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Familiarity with learning Wolters Kluwer ERP systems like CCH Tagetik and OneSumX.
• Experience working with large datasets and applying problem-solving techniques through data analysis.
• Basic to intermediate experience with SQL or similar tools for data querying and validation.
• Knowledge of profitability, pricing, and risk concepts.
• Effective communication skills for cross-department collaboration.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Performs data mining and querying to support turning raw data into meaningful information for reporting purposes.
• Assists in preparing financial analyses to improve information available to management.
• Maintains and updates data analysis tools, reports, and templates under supervision.
• Helps develop internal reports and dashboards to present financial data clearly.
• Compiles pricing and volume data for analysis.
• Supports evaluations of products and business lines by gathering and organizing financial data.
• Tracks the impact of previously recommended actions and provides follow-up data.
• Learns and applies department tools like Tagetik, OneSumX, Prologue, and Qlik; assists in setup and use.
• Participates in documentation and update of departmental policies and procedures.
• Monitors variances in financial reports and follows up to identify discrepancies.
• Performs other related duties and special assignments as requested.
