Job summary

Diaconia LLC seeks a junior Financial Analyst to support federal program budgeting, planning, and execution across the capability lifecycle. You will maintain spend plans, analyze variances, and assist with financial reporting under PPBE/PPBES guidance, collaborating with the Program Manager and senior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of financial or analytical support experience.
• Familiarity with PPBE concepts and budget analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data validation.
• U.S. Citizenship required by federal client.
• Public Trust Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain budget and spend-plan trackers; compile and validate Government-provided data and historical funding allocation and distribution records.
• Compare planned and actual spending, research discrepancies, and flag funding or execution concerns for senior review.
• Help prepare future-year budget inputs, resource requirements, and supporting analyses for the PPBE/PPBES process.
• Assist with Purchase Request (PR) package reviews and quality checks of funding approval, resource allocation, and investment planning documents; track corrections and supporting documentation.
• Prepare accurate, accessible financial tables, briefing slides, and data-call responses; coordinate with scheduling and risk staff to identify how financial changes affect program plans.
• Contribute to bi-weekly spend-plan reports, quarterly financial briefings, and assigned division-wide budget analyses, plus financial inputs to program status reporting.
