Job summary

FSA Federal in Seattle is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to support the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) in Seattle.

You will help ensure the quality and reconciliation of financial records, perform compliance checks under federal guidelines, and assist in preparing office budgets to sustain nationwide law enforcement initiatives. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent experience, strong communication and teamwork, and proficiency with Excel and the Microsoft

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
• General knowledge of financial statements
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Excellent communication skills; oral and written
• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite and financial databases
• Proven commitment to excellent customer service; positive and flexible
• Ability to work in a team environment and maintain professionalism

Responsibilities

• Quality control and reconciliation of databases containing financial and compliance records
• Checks accounting practices for compliance with federal laws and regulations (e.g., Single Audit Act) and GAAP/OMB circulars
• Reviews annual financial statements for compliance and suggests corrective actions
• Evaluates logistics and operations of audit and certification programs to maximize efficiencies
• Creates draft budget requests for office operations
• Performs other duties as assigned
