Job summary

Intertek is seeking an Entry-Level Field Technician for its Construction Materials Testing team in Spring, Texas. The role involves performing testing on soil and concrete, observing site activities, and documenting results under general supervision.

Growth opportunities exist within Intertek-PSI and the broader A/E/C services. Requirements include a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work off shifts and outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, hearing, and to discern sound.
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold.
• Ability to climb occasionally and work at various heights.
• Ability to work over night hours and off shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (soil, concrete or other) and report data.
• Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams.
• Perform tasks to make detailed observations of site activities and provide limited interpretation of results.
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.

Skills

Valid driver's license

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

ACI Certification (preferred)
