Job summary

V2X is seeking an Engineer to join our Test and Training Team in Huntsville, Alabama, for the Junior Field Service role. This position requires an active Secret clearance and involves maintenance, testing, and support for RF, electronics, and IT networking in a DoD context at Redstone Arsenal.

You will install, troubleshoot, and sustain multi-vendor systems, collaborate with engineers, perform preventive maintenance on mobile masts, and travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations as needed.

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree with 3-5 years’ experience; 6 years acceptable in lieu of degree.
• Experience with fault analysis, troubleshooting of C4I systems and radars.
• Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and manuals for troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Distinguish hardware vs software problems in multi-vendor systems.
• Install, test, and perform preventive maintenance on RF and electronics equipment.
• Collaborate with design engineers to troubleshoot failures from test data.
• Maintain mobile trailer mounted masts and payloads.
• Assist with site surveys and system installs/removals.
• Perform software updates and assist in technical writing for field docs.
• Manage work orders and track parts with serial numbers.
• Travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations as required.
