Job summary

EAE USA is seeking a Junior Field Service Engineer to join our Field Service Engineering team. This entry-level role supports installation, commissioning, maintenance, and technical support at customer sites under supervision.

You will develop technical competency and customer engagement skills, working with Senior Field Service Engineers and cross-functional teams to enable progress toward independent field execution.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 0-4 years of relevant experience (internships, co-ops, or field exposure preferred).
• Basic understanding of electrical and/or mechanical systems.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop technical and field service skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow direction, work within a team environment, and adapt in field conditions.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Field Service Engineers with installation, commissioning, and startup activities at customer sites.
• Support field modifications, system checks, and verification of equipment performance.
• Follow established field procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements during all site activities.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and inspection tasks under supervision.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and support root cause identification.
• Escalate complex technical issues to Senior Field Service Engineers or Engineering teams as needed.
• Provide entry-level support for field service requests, both remotely and on-site.
• Accurately document service activities, findings, and actions taken.
• Complete service reports and required documentation in accordance with company standards.
• Assist in maintaining service records, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Provide feedback on recurring issues to support continuous improvement efforts.
• Participate in structured training programs, field mentoring, and hands-on learning opportunities.
• Work under the guidance of Senior Field Service Engineers to build technical and field competency.
• Progress toward independent field execution, troubleshooting, and customer support responsibilities.
• Gain exposure to cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project Management.
