Job summary

VivSoft in Falls Church, VA is seeking a Junior Contract Analyst to support the Defense Health Agency in managing acquisition activities throughout the contract lifecycle. The position requires a Bachelor's degree with business-related coursework and at least 2 years of federal contracting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 24 semester hours in business-related fields
• Minimum 2 years of experience supporting federal contracting or procurement functions in a GS-1102 or equivalent environment
• Knowledge of FAR and DFARS procurement policies
• Understanding of price/cost analysis and procurement evaluation methods
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support acquisition and procurement activities throughout the contract lifecycle
• Assist in preparing, reviewing, and administering federal contracts, modifications, and procurement documentation
• Ensure compliance with FAR and DFARS requirements
• Conduct market research, price analysis, and cost analysis to support procurement decisions
• Analyze procurement data and provide recommendations for contract actions and acquisition strategies
• Coordinate with government stakeholders, contractors, and vendors regarding procurement activities
• Support fact-finding, issue resolution, and contract-related problem analysis
• Maintain acquisition records, reports, and procurement documentation
• Utilize procurement and contract writing systems such as PD2 (preferred)
• Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence using Microsoft Office tools
