Job summary
Cherokee Federal seeks a Subject Matter Expert – Facilities / Engineering Portfolio Support (Junior) for on-site work at MCB Camp Butler, MCAS Iwakuni, and MCB Quantico. Reports to the Program Manager and provides technical support in facilities, engineering, installation planning, and portfolio decisions.
The role covers site evaluations, validation of facility data, and delivering actionable recommendations to support MCICOM projects.
Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance required.
- Junior SME role across multiple sites (JP and US).
- Ability to travel as needed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site evaluations of proposed and active project locations to assess conditions.
- Review architectural, engineering, site, and utility schematics against field conditions.
- Identify discrepancies between project docs, facilities databases, and observed site conditions.
- Validate field data and support updates to facilities databases and records.
- Develop technical findings, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations for project teams and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with installation personnel to resolve technical issues and maintain project momentum.
